摘要
India is facing difficulties in providing affordable and sustainable houses. Most of the population, who are from the middle-income category, encountered challenges finding an inexpensive house while maintaining a sustainable lifestyle. Most housing development initiatives prioritize affordability over sustainable factors. In order to fulfil the demands of growing populations, the government is focused on matching supply and demand, encouraging efficient and sustainable housing, ensuring adequate public utilities and services, and maintaining a clean environment. This study will provide an evaluation of sustainable construction methods for affordable housing, sustainability indicators in affordable housing, and from the analysis an overview of the sustainability measures associated with affordable housing. This research study aims to Study an Evaluation of Indian affordable housing development methods that increase sustainability we have discussed various approaches used in the Indian housing system for sustainable housing and benchmarking and accessing sustainability tools used for sustainable housing construction. The study identifies construction techniques and the factors that influence them in order to improve housing sustainability. The key elements that, if eliminated, will minimize construction costs, reduce the adverse effects of construction on the environment, and preserve high quality in the home design, are reducing material waste and complexity in housing operations. The outcome of this study will help in decision-making concerning housing development and in improving the quality of life for sustainable houses. Housing involves efficient budgeting and strategies that lower construction costs by utilizing local expertise and technology without compromising strength performance and structural life. Utilizing local resources reduces transportation costs, which are high for long distances and therefore ideal for local climates since their proportion to the cost of construction resources is low. This investigation focuses on the broad data collecting of various materials and methodologies, guidelines for sustainable housing, and the creation of a strategic action plan to apply the same in India's specified regions.
