摘要

Plant-mediated synthesis has become a pivotal research area, especially in biosensing applications, for producing nanomaterials. This chapter explores the importance of plant-mediated synthesis in creating diverse nanomaterials for biosensing. It emphasizes the environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and sustainable aspects of these processes within nanotechnology. Nanoparticles (NPs) can be generated in different sizes and shapes through physical, chemical, or biological routes. By examining various nanomaterial types like gold, silver, zinc, titanium, and palladium synthesized through plant-mediated methods, this chapter showcases the wide range of benefits and applications associated with these eco-friendly synthesis techniques. The mechanisms in plant-mediated synthesis, such as reduction, stabilization, nucleation, aggregation, and capping, are discussed to highlight the distinctive properties of plant-synthesized nanomaterials that make them well-suited for biosensing. Through an in-depth exploration of nanomaterials produced using plant extracts, this chapter offers valuable insights into how plant-mediated synthesis can drive advancements in biosensing technologies.
