Teach Me Other Wor(l)ds

This chapter serves as a conclusion to this book of 100 interculturologies. The author insists on the importance of constantly undefining, deconstructing and reconstructing ideologies and mythologies of interculturality in research and education. He also urges the reader to be thirsty for criticality and reflexivity in all corners of the world, putting into question the ‘taken-for-granted’ and ‘obvious’. As such the author asks us to try out our freedom to ask questions, to expand and explore silence, to look inside/outside ourselves and to practice listening. Attempts at ‘smashing’ our own interculturologies should be promoted as a vital step to opening up other ideological, conceptual and methodological worlds of interculturality. Interculturologies are first and foremost about the words that we use and how they can trick us into imagining, abusing and emptying interculturality of its complexities. De-languaging interculturality is thus the key to examining interculturologies ‘otherwise’.
