Nanotheranostics: A Treasured Tailor for Disease Diagnosis and Treatment

Theranostics, a patient-centered approach to pharmacotherapy, is emerging as a target-centered, safe, and effective method. It involves both treatments and diagnostics. A relatively new area of medicine called “theranostics” combines focused therapy with targeted diagnostic testing. It offers a transition from traditional medicine to the more modern customized and precision medicine, emphasizing patient-centered treatment. It addresses personalized care based on each person’s individuality, resulting in the appropriate medications for the patient at the proper time. Theranostics offer a successful treatment procedure that is customized and cost-effective. The three main components that form the basis of theranostics are biomarker profiling, proteomics, and pharmacogenetics. Theranostics is an intriguing field understood on many levels, with oncology receiving particular attention due to the significant roles played by carbon nanotubes, metallic nanoparticles, nanoparticles, and quantum dots in monitoring the effectiveness of therapy and treatment. To detect and cure diseases at the cellular and molecular level, theranostics medicine can attain systemic circulation, show host defenses, and deliver the medication and diagnostic agents to the targeted place. Thus, theranostics is a comprehensive shift in medicine from trial and error to customized and predictive medicine that improves the standard of pharmacological treatment.
