Green Space Exposure and Pregnancy Outcomes
摘要
The impact of green space exposure on pregnancy outcomes has become increasingly salient for the public, leading to a growing number of relevant studies. Our aim was to summarize the current knowledge on the relationship between greenness and pregnancy outcomes in China and compare findings with those from the rest of the world. In total, seven studies investigated the relationship between green space exposure during pregnancy and various outcomes, including birth weight, gestational age, preterm birth, gestational diabetes, head circumference, maternal mortality ratio, and high-risk parturient ratio. Results indicated that the majority of studies reported potentially beneficial effects of greenness on pregnancy outcomes. Nevertheless, there remains a dearth of relevant studies in China compared to other countries, highlighting a need for further research. In addition, future research in China could consider outcomes such as gestational hypertension and the mental health of pregnant women.
