Land Use Classification and Change Detection Using Google Earth Engine
摘要
Land use and cover changes (LULC) between 2011 and 2021 were examined in research in India's Cumbum district using Google Earth Engine. The main findings indicate that urban increased by 4% while vegetation area fell by 9%, bareland increased by 7%, Trees are increased by 1%, and water is fell by 3%. illustrating the fast urbanization caused by increase in population and agricultural development. Urban areas, crops, and aquatic bodies are the three main forms of land cover. Changes in aquatic supplies, air quality, biodiversity, and local livelihoods were all evaluated as part of the study's assessment of environmental and social effects. The findings highlight the need for swift adoption of sustainable land use regulations in order to lessen the serious consequences of LULC changes in the area.
