摘要

This paper explores the integration of barrier concepts within the framework of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) and presents a case study conducted in a Petrochemical Facility for enhancing RBI analysis through a modified methodology. By incorporating barriers as preventive measures against potential damage to pressure equipment, this modified approach introduces a risk-informed enhancement to RBI analysis. The case study highlights the benefits and outcomes of systematically integrating barriers, comparing the results with the traditional approach. The findings underscore the advantages of incorporating barrier concepts in optimizing inspection plans and enhancing risk management for improved reliability and safety in the petrochemical industry.
