摘要

Our contemporary world is immersed in four dominant trends, namely: Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA). The combination of these trends creates for communities of stakeholders complex situations equivalent to the navigation of a “VUCALabyrinth.” This makes essential the availability of an appropriately powerful methodological approach. The phenomenon of Situational Complexity, which is embedded and created by the VUCA Labyrinth, is space–time, and culturally sensitive, and also ephemeral. It emerges as the superposition of three distinguishable observational complexities: objective, subjective, and intersubjective. In this chapter, we argue that the Logosofia Thread, resulting from connecting six principles accumulated from the application of the methodology of Structured Democratic Dialogue (SDD), corresponds to an efficient, effective, systemic, and ephemeral approach for navigating the VUCA Labyrinth. As a case study, we discuss our experience with the application of SDD for the construction of consensual linguistic domains focusing on the conflict situation between Turkish and Greek Cypriots.
