A Metalogue on Constructivism and Why Thinking Matters

In this chapter, we ponder around the relationship between a posited observer (or observers) and what becomes “observed”. We begin the discussion with a reference to quantum physicist David Bohm and his conversations with spiritual leaders including HH Dalai Lama. The suggestion is that we live in a participative universe as also expressed by various Indigenous sages from different parts of the globe. This means that how we observe/think about “the world” already has influence on the “matter”, and vice versa there is a reciprocal interdependent relationship in that “matter” also exerts agency in the dynamic dance of interrelationship. We explore the implications of this worldview and epistemology in this chapter by way of a dialogue between the authors.
