摘要

One of the leading causes of death worldwide is a malignant disease. A growing body of research reveals a strong link between certain dietary patterns and the progress of the malignant disease. A nutrition approach to malignant disease prevention and treatment has gained popularity in recent years. Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn. belonging to the family Nymphaeaceae), commonly known as Chinese water lily, sacred lotus, or Indian lotus, is one of many dietary and therapeutic herbs that can successfully cure this illness. Fever, inflammation, sleeplessness, neurological diseases, seizures, hypertension, cardiovascular illnesses, obesity, and hyperlipidemia have all been treated with different portions of N. nucifera in the past. Many bioactive compounds, such as alkaloids, terpenoids, glycosides, steroids, and polyphenols, are believed to be accountable for their diverse biological and pharmacological actions. One of the greatest widespread drinks in the world and a high source of phytochemicals with significant health advantages is tea (Camellia sinensis L.). Due to the large number of bioactive components such as flavonoids and glycosides found in the tea plant, the usefulness of tea (Camellia sinensis) against several forms of cancer has been well-researched. This review aims to use camellia and lotus seeds in malignant diseases.
