摘要

Cancer is a disease characterized by uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body. Natural substances with potential anticancer properties, including guava and mango seeds, have been researched. Guava seeds contain tannins, phenolic acids, essential oils, and fatty acids that suppress cancer and induce apoptosis. Similarly, Mango seeds contain polyphenols such as mangiferin, gallic acid, ellagic acid, lupeol, and β-sitosterol, which have been studied for their potential anticancer effects. Mangiferin specifically has been found to kill breast cancer cells without harming normal cells. Guava and mango are also nutritious, containing carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, and minerals. Mango seeds are rich in antioxidants, such as ascorbic acid, and polyphenols, such as carotene. Mango seed oil is also nutritious and contains high levels of hydrolyzable tannins and hesperidin, a flavonoid associated with several health benefits. Overall, Guava and Mango seeds show potential as natural chemopreventive agents and sources of functional foods. While more research is necessary to determine the extent of their anticancer properties, these seeds offer a potential natural alternative to traditional cancer treatments.
