摘要

Cervical Cancer is a serious health concern possessing a serious health problem in women. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the role of biosimilars in Cervical Cancer (CC) by highlighting the global public health issue posed by CC and the urgent need for affordable and accessible treatment options. Biosimilars are biological products that have the potential to reduce costs and increase accessibility in the treatment of various conditions. Their emergence is a significant development in medicine. The increasing number of approved biosimilars for CC treatment, such as bevacizumab (Mvasi, Zirabev) and pegfilgrastim (Fulphila, Udenyca, Ziextenzo), is being discussed, along with their rigorous testing through controlled clinical trials and real-world data. This chapter focuses on the comprehensive pharmacovigilance studies that are crucial for ensuring the safety and efficacy of biosimilars. It explores the profound implications of the widespread use of biosimilars in CC treatment, such as improved treatment coverage and the development of personalized treatment strategies. The chapter concludes by highlighting the revolutionary potential of biosimilars. It emphasizes the necessity for persistent research and development endeavors to pave the way for a new phase in CC management. This phase is anticipated to be characterized by enhanced accessibility, individualized care, and a promising future for women across the globe.
