Biosimilars in Blood Cancer
摘要
Biosimilars are the medicines that are similar in structure and functions to biologics. They are very much similar to their reference products—this means the product. The biosimilars have shown great efficacy in the treatment of cancers including blood cancer. These biosimilars are more effective and preferred for the treatment of blood cancer over traditional chemotherapeutic agents due to their effectiveness and less side effects. Trastuzumab, rituximab, filgrastim and pegfilgrastim are the biosimilars that are approved recently for the treatment of various types of blood cancer. This chapter discussess various FDA-approved biosimilars in blood cancers and regulatory considerations and future directions of biosimilars for the treatment of blood cancers.
