摘要

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) stands as a major global health concern with limited therapeutic options. Biosimilars are becoming popular in oncological settings as more affordable options to biologic medications. The present state of biosimilar development and use in the context of HCC is examined in detail in this study. This chapter discussed HCC, highlighting its rising frequency and the difficulties associated with the current treatment options. The study then explores the molecular targets and pathways associated with the advancement of HCC, highlighting the possibility of using biosimilars to target various pathways. The regulatory environment controlling biosimilar approval and market access is critically examined, illuminating the difficulties and factors particular to the development of biosimilars in the oncology sector. In addition, the study compared reference biologics with biosimilars in order to assess the clinical evidence regarding the safety and efficacy of biosimilars in the treatment of HCC. The goal of synthesizing the current data and identifying knowledge gaps is to help policymakers, researchers, and clinicians make well-informed decisions about the inclusion of biosimilars in HCC treatment regimens. This chapter demonstrated the biosimilar in hepatocellular carcinoma, which may be utilized to treat carcinoma diseases, and discussed their related available biosimilar treatment.
