Rubber Concrete
摘要
Rubber concrete (RC) incorporates rubber particles derived from recycled tires as a partial replacement for traditional aggregate materials in concrete mixtures. This sustainable approach aims to address the environmental issue of waste tire accumulation and to enhance certain physical properties of concrete. The mechanism behind rubber concrete involves the interaction between the rubber particles and the cement paste. Rubber particles, being less rigid and more deformable than traditional aggregates, can improve the ductility and energy absorption capacity of concrete, making it more resistant to dynamic loads and impacts.
