Organic Materials
摘要
Organic materials in the context of cement and concrete primarily refer to substances that can be incorporated into or come into contact with concrete structures, such as natural fibers, organic acids, and hydrocarbons. These materials interact with the cementitious matrix in various ways, depending on their chemical composition and environmental conditions. For instance, organic acids can accelerate the degradation of concrete by reacting with the alkaline components of cement, leading to a decrease in pH and subsequent weakening of the material structure. Hydrocarbons, on the other hand, may affect the curing process of concrete by forming a film that inhibits water evaporation, essential for cement hydration.
