High-Range Water-Reducing Admixture
摘要
High-range water-reducing admixtures (HRWR), commonly referred to as superplasticizers, are chemical additives used in concrete to significantly reduce the water content in the mix without compromising workability. This property is particularly important in producing high-strength and high-performance concrete where low water-to-cement ratios are required. HRWRs enable the production of fluid and easily workable concrete even with low water contents, facilitating its placement and compaction under a variety of conditions. Their use is crucial in complex structural applications, such as in precast concrete elements and where intricate forms or dense reinforcement are involved.
