Electrodynamic Fragmentation

Electrodynamic fragmentation refers to the process of using high-voltage electrical discharges to fragment materials into finer particles. In the context of cement and concrete, this innovative technique is primarily employed for the recycling of concrete debris and the enhancement of the reactivity of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). By applying intense electrical pulses, the material structure is broken down at the microlevel, leading to the exposure of fresh surfaces that can enhance chemical reactivity and bonding properties in new concrete mixtures. This method not only promotes the sustainability of construction materials by enabling recycling but also improves the performance characteristics of concrete.
