Electric Arc Furnace Dust
摘要
Electric arc furnace (EAF) dust is a byproduct of the steel production process in electric arc furnaces, characterized by its fine particulate nature and heavy metal content, notably zinc, lead, and cadmium. In the context of cement and concrete, EAF dust has been explored as a potential supplementary cementitious material due to its high metal oxide content, which can contribute to the pozzolanic activity in cement hydration processes. The utilization of EAF dust in concrete not only helps in waste minimization but also enhances the properties of concrete, making it a sustainable option in construction materials.
