Curing
摘要
Curing is a critical process in concrete construction, involving the maintenance of adequate moisture and temperature to ensure proper hydration of cement. This process is vital for the development of the strength and durability of concrete. Effective curing helps prevent the concrete from drying out too quickly, avoiding premature strength loss and surface cracking. The hydration reaction, which curing aims to optimize, involves the transformation of the anhydrous cement particles into a hardened matrix through a series of chemical reactions, which ultimately leads to the formation of calcium-silicate-hydrate (C-S-H) and other hydration products that bind the aggregate together.
