Simulation Study of the Supply of Personal Protective Equipment Considering Cross-Regional Assistance and Dynamic Disease Transmission
摘要
The widespread COVID-19 (coronavirus) in 2020 was accompanied by a massive shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This outbreak proves that modern medical and epidemiological systems are not yet adequately prepared for outbreaks. The national response and achievements in addressing the coronavirus outbreak can serve as a valuable lesson. To deal with possible future large-scale outbreaks, there is a need for research on the PPE supply chain, finding feasible solutions to improve supply during major outbreaks, and establishing a theoretical basis for future outbreak response.
