Nanobiofertilizers: A New Paradigm for Sustainable Agriculture
摘要
Nanotechnology refers to any nanoscale technology with multiple practical applications. Their broad applications are in the development of material science, drug delivery, cosmetics, biology, biotechnology, agriculture, and food. Nanobiotechnology is used in the creation of fertilizers to enhance the dynamics of soil plant nutrition for long-term crop management. With the potential properties of nanomaterials and biofertilizers, nanobiotechnology aids in the creation of new, inexpensive, and eco-friendly nanobiofertilizers. Nanoparticles are used in agriculture because of their unique physiochemical properties. The effectiveness of farming is increased by the delivery of agrochemicals using nanoparticles. By being nano-encapsulated, conventional and alternative fertilizers can be released gradually and precisely, supporting sustainable agriculture. Both plant production and plant pollution can be reduced with the use of nanobiofertilizers. In this chapter, we focused on the production of nanobiofertilizers and their mechanism of action and also its advantages and disadvantages in the field of agriculture.
