Initiation of Dialysis and Choice of Modality

Two major renal replacement therapy available for patients with End-stage Renal Disease are hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. The choice of modality depends on the patient’s decision. Despite adequate dialysis therapy, some symptoms tend to persist. This is called “residual syndrome”.
