Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Insertion and Care

The peritoneal dialysis catheters are of two types: Rigid non-cuffed and flexible cuffed. PD catheters can be inserted by modified Seldinger technique, Laparoscopy or surgically. The cuffs prevent prevent migration, reduce risk of pericatheter leaks, and prevent infection.
