Blastomycosis

It is a granulomatous fungal infection caused by Blastomyces dermatitidis, a thermally dimorphic fungus that initiates disease by infecting the lungs. It is characterized by the formation of suppurative and granulomatous lesion in any part of the body but with a marked predilection for the lungs and skin.
