Radicular Cyst

The periapical cyst is a common but inevitable sequela of the periapical granuloma originating as a result of bacterial infection and pulpal necrosis, nearly always following carious involvement of the teeth. The epithelium at the apex of a non-vital tooth can be stimulated by inflammation to form a true epithelium-lined cyst or a periapical cyst.
