Aneurysmal Bone Cyst
摘要
The aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) is an uncommon lesion which has been found in most bones of the skeleton. Jaffe and Lichtenstein were the first to recognize ABC as an intraosseous, osteolytic lesion chiefly affecting the metaphyseal region of long bones and vertebrae. The term “aneurysmal bone cyst” was suggested by Jaffe and Lichtenstein [1], the word “aneurysmal” to emphasize the “blown-out,” distended contour of the affected bone and the words “bone cyst” to underscore that when the lesion is entered through a thin shell of bone, it appears largely as a blood-filled cavity.
