Paget’s Disease

Paget’s disease is a metabolic disorder affecting the bones. It causes a malfunction in the normal process of bone remodeling. Paget’s disease is named after Sir James Paget, an English surgeon who described the clinical course of this disorder and originally named the condition “osteitis deformans,” as he believed the disease was caused by chronic inflammation.
