摘要

The psychometric analysis assesses changes in human thoughts and behavior, including changes in cognitive, emotional, attentional, and behavioral abilities through a battery of tests having a defined standard. The important determinants for the implementation of psychometric analysis in mind-body interventions (MBIs) are time, duration, kind of practice, and uniform methodology for assessment of expected outcomes of the intervention. The set parameters can reveal the effect of MBIs in terms of changes in various psychometric parameters and their limitations. The uniform set of instructions and parameters will also help to reduce the discrepancies observed in outcomes of interventions both within and between periods in cognitive, attentional, physical, social, and emotional variables. The major component of this chapter describes the impact of MBIs on psychometric parameters. Moreover, the chapter also highlights the role of the combination of genomics and Ayurveda, i.e., “Ayurgenomics,” in the understanding of the scientific basis for MBIs-induced changes in psychometric behaviors.
