Nanobiotechnology for Cancer Diagnosis
摘要
Nanotechnology can detect molecular changes even in small percentage of cells due to rapid and sensitive detection of cancer-related entities. Nanobiotechnology-based techniques were proven to have improved selectivity, sensitivity, and efficacy or even offered new approaches toward cancer diagnosis that are not achievable with conventional diagnostic strategies. Cancer diagnosis is improving with incorporation of nanotechnology which is enhancing biosensing and imaging techniques. Nanobiotechnology-based systems such as quantum dots, gold nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, and nanowires enable early detection leading to improved survival rate of cancer patients with its high specificity, sensitivity, and multiplexed measurement capacities.
