Dr Skye Akbar provides wise advice for new Indigenous ECRs in the hope that her hard-won experience will help others to navigate a system in which there are inherent challenges of being the first or only Indigenous academic at a time when Indigenous expertise is in significant demand, with too few people to fill institutional requirements.
