摘要

This manuscript focuses on the safety measures concerning radiation in Nuclear Cycle Facilities. These facilities encompass various stages such as uranium mining & milling, uranium processing, uranium fuel fabrication, fuel reprocessing, and waste management. The sources of exposure throughout the Nuclear Fuel Cycle are the radiation emitted by naturally occurring radionuclides like uranium and thorium isotopes, as well as the radiation emitted by the fission products generated in nuclear power reactors. The primary goal of radiation protection in Nuclear Fuel Cycle facilities is to safeguard the workers, the public, and the environment during both normal operations and emergency situations. This manuscript delves into the operations of nuclear cycle facilities, the associated radiation exposures, and the safety measures implemented to control the exposures.
