Climate Change and Its Impact on the Fate of Radioactivity in the Environment

This chapter examines the complex relationship between climate change and the fate of radioactivity in the environment. Addressing the causes and effects of climate change, including rising temperatures, severe storms, altered biodiversity, and increased droughts, the chapter explores how these changes influence the fate and behavior of radioactivity in the environment. Discussion on the effects of climate change on vegetation dynamics, animal behavior, and the physiology of biota is also presented and the effects of different changes caused by climate change on radioactivity uptake by plants and biota is also explored. Overall, this chapter aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between climate change and radioactivity and can serve as a valuable resource for researchers and policymakers.
