摘要

This paper provides a detailed overview of reconfiguration and its applications in power distribution networks. Specifically, the study uses the IEEE 33 bus network as a test system to demonstrate the impact of reconfiguration on reliability and voltage deviation indices. The objective of this paper is to compare different methodologies employed to minimize active power loss within a system. Initially, the study focuses on the optimal positioning and sizing of capacitors, followed by the combined implementation of capacitor placement and reconfiguration techniques. The results demonstrate that employing both techniques simultaneously leads to more effective power loss minimization. The results of the study highlight the effectiveness of reconfiguration in enhancing the performance of distribution networks and addressing their operational challenges.
