An Extensive Critique on Performance Analysis of Natural Ester-Based Edible Oils

Nowadays, oil adulteration represents a big problem. The nutritional value and benefits of edible vegetable oils can be lost as a result of adulteration. Deterioration in quality may aid in the creation of hazardous and reactive oxidation products, which ultimately pose health hazards like cancer and inflammation. The identification of fatty acids using a variety of techniques is often followed by the computation of appropriate ratios in order to identify superfluous plant oils or visceral fats. However, since mineral oil has been added to edible oil, the detection of extraneous oil has become more challenging. The dielectric qualities of the mineral oils (breakdown voltage (kV) assessment), which are thermo-physical and electrochemical properties, are frequently what control the shelf lifespan of the oils recycled in transformers. This characteristic existed found in certain edible oils, and it can be used to detect oil adulteration with ease. The goal of this study is to identify an alternate insulating fluid for oil-cooled power transformer applications that has better dielectric characteristics. Additionally, the research targets the extension of the proposed fluid to power cables, reactors, circuit breakers, and capacitors. Another purpose of this paper is to find the oil adulteration easily. Electric property, thermal property, physical property and chemical property of pure edible oil, pure mineral oil and the mixture of edible oil and the mineral oil with different ratios such as 50% mineral oil and 50% edible oil, 70% mineral oil and 30% edible oil, the experiment is done and the result is analysed in this paper.
