摘要

In 2009, China’s automobile production and sales exceeded ten million units for the first time, making it the world’s leading country in automobile production and sales. Since then, it has maintained the top position for 12 consecutive years. In 2017, automobile production and sales reached their peak and have since slowly declined. From 2016 to 2020, China’s automobile production decreased from 28.119 million units to 25.225 million units, with an average annual decline of 2.7%. Similarly, automobile sales decreased from 28.028 million units to 25.311 million units, with an average annual decline of 2.5%. Overall, there is a downward trend. Among them, passenger vehicle production and sales hold a dominant position but show an overall declining trend. Passenger vehicle production decreased from 244.21 million units to 199.94 million units, with an average annual decline of 4.9%. Passenger vehicle sales decreased from 243.77 million units to 201.78 million units, with an average annual decline of 4.6%. Commercial vehicle production and sales remained relatively stable, showing an overall upward trend. The production of commercial vehicles increased from 3.698 million units to 5.231 million units, with an average annual growth rate of 9.1%. Similarly, the sales of commercial vehicles increased from 3.651 million units to 5.133 million units, with an average annual growth rate of 8.9%. This growth is primarily driven by factors such as the phasing out of vehicles based on the China III standard, stricter enforcement of weight limit regulations, and increased investment in infrastructure.
