The fieldworkfieldwork area of this book is located at the junction of YunnanYunnan, SichuanSichuan and TibetTibet, specifically the DiqingDiqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in YunnanYunnan, the GanziGanzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan and the QamdoQamdo region in TibetTibet, covering most of the ‘KhamKham’ Tibetan areas in the traditional sense.
