摘要

Everyone experiences aging in his/her life. Since aging is a deteriorative process toward the end of life, most people desire longevity. However, we do not know how we can extend our life span. We do not even know what the actual cause of aging is. Senescence, which is a cellular process of aging, is a hallmark of animal aging. In this review, we introduce many papers that unveiled the process and cause of aging and senescence along with aging-related diseases in humans. We also discuss fish models to study aging and senescence.
