Reflective Practice in TESOL: Concluding Reflections

This chapter provides a summary of reflective practice in TESOL teacher education programmes in 14 countries. It highlights the important lessons we have learnt about integrating and promoting reflective practice in pre-service and in-service TESOL teacher education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Reflecting on the contributions, we have identified key principles and the supportive ecology needed to facilitate the systematic integration and promotion of reflective practice and reflection. We conclude the chapter by suggesting future directions for research.
