Ma Yinchu and the New Population Theory

Ma Yinchu (1882–1982), a native of Pukou Town, Sheng County, Zhejiang Province, was an economist, educator, and demographer. Ma Yinchu became a student of the Yuying School in Shanghai in 1899. After graduating from middle school in 1901, he went on to Peiyang University in Tianjin to study mining and metallurgy.
