Pan Guangdan and His Study of Eugenics

Pan Guangdan (1899–1967), formerly known as Pan Guangji and courtesy name Zhong Ang, was a sociologist, eugenicist, ethnologist, educator, and translator from Baoshan, Jiangsu. Between 1913 and 1922, he studied in the preparatory class for further studies in the United States at Tsinghua in Beijing, and then, in 1922, he went to study in the U.S.. He first enrolled at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he majored in biology and earned his bachelor’s degree in 1924.
