Zhang Zhiyi and His Study of Rural Industry

Zhang Zhiyi, a native of Liling, Hunan, was a sociologist. He graduated from the sociology department of Tsinghua University in 1939. Between 1939 to 1949, he was at various times associate professor and acting head of the sociology department at Yunnan University and also a researcher at the Fujian Provincial Research Institute.
