Yang Maochun and Rural Studies

Yang Maochun or Martin C. Yang (1904–1988), courtesy name Mianzhai, was born in Taitou Village, Jiao County, Shandong Province. He was a sociologist. After graduating from a church-affiliated high school in his early years, he was admitted to Cheeloo University on a recommendation.
