Spatial Dynamic Preamble Soft Allocation for mMTC in Massive MIMO Systems

摘要

Massive machine type communications (mMTC) is a key enabler to support massive access of Internet of Things (IoT)in 5G/6G wireless networks. In this paper, a novel spatial dynamic preamble soft allocation scheme is proposed to improve access performance for massive machine-type communications. In the proposed scheme, preambles can be spatially reused due to the plenty spatial degrees of freedom offered by massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO). Moreover, the preambles are dynamically allocated and statistically shared among machine type devices (MTDs) based on the various traffic, which further improves access performance and fairness among MTDs. Simulation results verify the performance advantages of the proposed scheme.
