Current Status of Mining Cooperation Between China and Other SCO Member Countries

With the deep implementation of the “Belt and Road” initiative, the cooperation in geosciences and mining between China and other SCO member countries has entered the fast track. More than 100 Chinese-funded enterprises are engaged in mining investment in the SCO member countries, with hundreds of investment projects showing their diversified characteristics, cooperation methods, and integration of industrial chains. Compared with mining cooperation with other regions, such as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Africa, China’s cooperation with the SCO member countries still has ample growth space.
