Current Status of Mining Development in the SCO Member Countries
摘要
The SCO 9 countries are expressively relevant to the global supply chain of the mineral resources industry. The production of energy resources such as oil, natural gas, coal, and uranium all account for more than 20% of the world, and the global share of bulk minerals such as lead, zinc, iron, manganese, aluminum, and precious metals such as gold and platinum is more than 30%. The global portions of tungsten, antimony, molybdenum, and titanium are above 45%. At the same time, the SCO 9 countries also consume more than 40% of the world’s energy minerals and bulk minerals such as copper and iron, and the trade volume accounts for about 60% of the world. Overall, the mining development level of the four Central Asian countries, Pakistan and Iran, is relatively low. In these countries, mining activities are becoming more active, while international mining companies are increasing investment in high-quality mining projects, and the role of mineral exploration and development in economic development is continuously strengthening.
