Overall Situation of Mineral Resources in the SCO Member Countries
摘要
The SCO member countries, with superior metallogenic geological backgrounds and abundant energy resources, span the three metallogenic domains globally. They possess 42.21% of the world’s coal reserves, 44.44% of natural gas reserves, 18.37% of oil reserves, and 27% of uranium resources. The reserves of minerals such as gold, antimony, and rare earth elements (REE) account for more than 50% of the world’s total. Minerals with a 30% to 50% global share include iron, lead, zinc, molybdenum, silver, and platinum group metals. Copper, manganese, nickel, cobalt, lithium, and other new energy metal resources are abundant, with massive potential for exploration.
