  • Louise Penner,

摘要

South Africa has been characterized as a highly xenophobic nation. This chapter examines Majola’s commitment to addressing xenophobia in 2008 against immigrants from other parts of Africa within the townships and the tensions that ensued with the national office of Treatment Action Campaign, as a result. It explains the basis for Majola’s powerful belief in the need to protect one’s African “brothers and sisters.”
