摘要

In this chapter, we provide a broader context for addressing the impact of Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) by featuring the stories of two remarkable long-term TAC members and supporters, Mpumi Nompumeleo and Neliswa Nkwali. They both worked closely with Majola at TAC, and their experience provides insight into the ecosystem that TAC created for impactful activist work. Their stories encompass several of the organization’s stages of development from its beginnings through to the recent period when austere retrenchment efforts led to the closure of TAC’s Cape Town offices.
