China’s Changing Role in Multilateral Development Banks

Through the Belt and Road InitiativeBelt and Road Initiative, The (BRI) and other lending, China has also become the world’s largest bilateral lender to developing countries. It is also a major driver behind the AIIB and NDB, both of which have the potential to make a significant impact on the international financial system and provide lessons for established MDBs in their own operations and governance.
